Probably like a 35 but rounded upBliss Worthington cousin of the Worthington family is in love with Neville Danton Duke of Camberton Unfortunately Neville's Uncle Oliver firmly disapproves of their relationship and is doing everything he can to put a stop to it Bliss plans a secret wedding with she thinks Neville but all of her notes have been intercepted by Oliver Instead she winds up married to Morgan Pryce Neville's older bastard half brother and sea captain Oliver paints a picture of a manipulative gold digger to Morgan and he agrees to marry her instead He's away at sea for most of the year so his wife isn't really important to him and his uncle is offering him the one thing he's always wanted if he does this ownership of his ship the Selkie MaidWhen Bliss realizes what has happened she tries to demand an annulment and Morgan tells her that if she can convince him that she does love Neville and doesn't just want his money and title he'll consider it Bliss doesn't want that but she also doesn't really love Neville Her childhood was a lonely one and she spent her time waiting for her parents to remember her and visit Bliss never wants to experience that again and Neville is a safe and secure choice and Morgan is the opposite of that Neither of them trust each other and yet they still find themselves falling for each other Morgan admires Bliss's competency in all areas from cooking to knife fights and finds someone who cares about him for the first time since his mother and brother and he makes her start living for the first time in years The course of the true love never runs smoothly of course and Oliver is there meddling in affairs and the specter of Neville remains an issue But once all of them realize that Oliver is behind their woes all of their problems are solvedOne of my biggest problems with this book is that Morgan and Bliss didn't talk about her fears of abandonment I think that the ending where he 'kidnaps' her is meant to reveal to both the reader and Bliss that he understands those fears and won't leave her alone but I would have liked an actual conversation about it Even just a mention of her lonely childhood when she reveals who her parents are would have been niceI also didn't like how Bliss lost her virginity Like in a curtained off alcove at a ball is a pretty indiscreet place to go At least get behind a solid door I know that there are plot reasons for this but it was still gross as was the immediate aftermath It would have been nice to have Oliver's punishment be dealt with on screen instead of just a paragraph wrap up in the epilogue For a minute I was afraid we weren't going to see what happened with him but I would have liked to see Morgan and Neville deal with him face to faceSome small editing things in one place Neville is said to have become duke at 12 and in another it says that his father died when he was 16 These both can't be true so which is it Also Cabot is suddenly Button's assistant again I feel like I missed something because at the end of the previous book I though they were still separatedThis book had the least page time for the Worthington family so far Even Attie didn't have a lot of page space Dade received some development in this book which I liked He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders trying to wrangle his family and he feels a ton of guilt over Bliss's botched wedding The revelation of who Bliss's parents are also seems to explain a lot about the Worthington familyI enjoyed this installment of the series although I think the previous two were a bit stronger I am looking forward to the next book though which is supposed to deal with Lysander I'll be interested to see who he is paired with and how his ptsd is treated and what exactly happened to him during the war

I received a free copy of Wedded Bliss by Celeste Bradley for an honest review Thank you so much Celeste for signed copyWedded Bliss is the fifth book in the Worthington series by Celeste Bradley I haven't read any of the other books yet it could be stand alone story This is a light historical romance The romantic part of story was fine however in my opinion there was s missing climax The romance could be deeper many parts of story I could feel that author is rushing the storyThere were lots of secondary stories going on background and made me confused especially those comes out suddenly and from minor characters Because I didn't read other books in this series then I couldn't tell that there were stories to be told or that already had been told about the secondary characters‘’layers of interweaving stories’’Strangely I like the Uncle Oliver character as well as rich widow from BarbadosI liked the book in general however this story and plot could've been told much better I wanted the heroine to be strong one thing I enjoyed was Morgan and Bliss moments of passion
